Winning under 15 Cagliari Team at the second international football tournament Sardinia-Bulgaria
From the 2nd to the 5th of September took place the three-days football tournament, which ended with the victory of the young players of the Under 15 Cagliari Team in Bulgaria. The young players, led by the new coach Daniele Zini, distinguished themselves in the matches against Levski Sofia (4-0) and Septemvri Sofia (3-0) and FC Vitosha (6-2). With the Sardinian team came Oscar Erriu, the responsible of the Young Sector of Cagliari Football Team, assistant coach Fabrizio Ruzzu, doctor Azzurra Doneddu and the support director Sergio Fanti.
At the end of the match against Levski Sofia, the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria Marco Montecchi participated to the press conference hosted in the press hall of the Levski Sofia: the major Bulgarian TVs and Newspapers were present at the press conference.
During the Press conference spoke Oscar Erriu, responsible of the Young Sector of Cagliari Football Team, Daniele Zini and Alberto Carta, the director of the school Danail Borimirov, the football playing strategy technician and director of the football school Nestor Jurukov, the director of Levski Football Krasimir Ivanov.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria supported this second edition of the event, promoted by AITEF Sardinia and the president Tonino Casu, who wasn’t present and was represented by Alberto Carta, and Sardica Club of Sofia. During the speeches, the whole staff expressed their gratitude for the successful event and wished for a partnership between the football clubs and the AITEF representants and thanked the sponsors to promote future editions of the event.
In conclusion, the Italian delegation composed by the President of the Club Sardica, the General Gianfranco Vacca, and the vice Alessandro Calia, together with Alberto Carta of the AITEF Sardinia, were welcomed by the Italian Ambassador his residence in Sofia. Together with the institutional pictures and hearty congratulations, the Ambassador was given the FGCI pennant and the ball autographed by Gigi Riva himself.
Ambassador Baldi congratulated with the young players and the coach team, and he took the occasion to gather information about the activities and the results of the Sardinian team.
International Tournament in Sofia with the participation of young people from Cagliari
AITEF, Italian Association for the Protection of Emigrants and the Families of Sardinia Region, in collaboration with Sardica Club of Sofia, defined the dates with the managers of the famous Club Levski Sofia. The meeting took place in the press room of the famous club, between Antonino Casu, President of AITEF Sardinia, Alessandro Calia, Vice
President and Paolo Armosini from Sardica Cultural Association and Professor Nestor Iurukov (ex Bulgarian player) from Levski Sofia Youth Manager. Present also the financial director of the football company, Mr Krasimir Ivanov.
International Youth Tournament, which will take place in Sofia from 1st to 3rd September, with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, will involve CAGLIARI CALCIO, Levski Sofia, Slavia and Ludogorez, all the Football companies who are in first Bulgarian league. The quadrangular will take place according to the “Italian” scheme for each match, in the event of parity will proceed with the penalty, the first two best ranked teams will challenge the final. Every participating teams will be awarded with cups and medals and in particular to the best player, the best performer in addition to the best goalkeeper.
During press conference, Rai 1 journalist Roberto Taglialegna was present and after interviews to the participants of the meeting, he expressed his interest for the whole event to be followed by Sofia by a Rai sporting troupe.
At the same time, a Business Forum will be organized, in collaboration with Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, and Sardinian companies to present the best of the Region in various sectors including tourism, food, thus combining sport with the promotion of Sardinia Region.

3T Project: Tennis Team Talent – Investing in young Bulgarian talents
BNP Paribas in Bulgaria (Corporate & Institutional Banking, Personal Finance and Cardif business lines) for second year in a row supports one of the successful initiatives of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation namely 3T Project: Tennis Team Talent designed to help young Bulgarian talents to reveal their full potential. The Bulgarian players proved that when provided with the right resources and training they achieve remarkable results. Bulgaria is one of only twelve countries worldwide with a representative in both the men’s and women’s top 50.
In 2017, the 3T Project allows 16 selected tennis talents in the 11-12 age bracket and the 13-14 age bracket to compete in 23 of the best preparatory tournaments, part of the Tennis Europe tour, for accession to ITF and ATP classification.
The Bulgarian Tennis Federation provides coaches to each team and supporting experts to evaluate each player’s technical, tactical and physical progress, and also focusing on the player’s mental preparation.
During its first year the results were amazing: members of the 3T team have won 21 out of 41 available titles, at the European Summer Cup, boys became 7th placed team in Europe and girls are the European champions!
The first major success for this year is the first place for Dariya Radulova (14 years) at the XIV Taça Internacional Maia Jovem 2017 in Potugal.

Sardinia Region, its excellencies and traditions : “Maria di Eltili” author reading
The first spring event of 2016, that is “Maria di Eltili” author reading, was held on 22nd March, at the high school hall of Sofia, and it was promoted and organized by Sardica Cultural Association and AITEF – Italian Immigrant Protection Association Families, in collaboration with Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria and under the patronage of Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia.
The promotional event of the Sardinian territory in the Bulgarian capital and across the Balkan region was performed by Sardinian actress Rita Atzeri who interpreted, according to her style, Bepi Vigna’s audio book. There were present some teachers of the school, Ms Evelina Pacegieva and President Tzvetanka Kostadinova, President Tonino Casu of AITEF Sardinia, Director of Italian Cultural Institute, Luigina Peddi and President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, Marco Montecchi, alongside with Circolo Sardica representatives, who is currently engaged with the promotion of a twinning between Ottone Bacaredda-Sergio Atzeni Institute of Cagliari (www.geometribacaredda.it), and exactly 105 Atanas Dalchev school in Sofia.
Perfomances were accompanied by two Sardinian artists coming from International Festival of Stuttgart Jonathan of the Marianna of Escalaplano at Launeddas and Paride Peddio of Desulo at the accordion. A huge number of students alongside with teacher’s body from the high school Atanas Dalchev were present, they followed carefully and curiously the alternation of reading with the magic of Sardinian instrumental music, applauding and participating in the Sardinian dances performed by figurative dancers Carla Lampis and Samuel Usala, both dressing traditional clothes of their Country Escalaplano.
The best occasion could not have been to have chosen right the school 105 that this year celebrates 75th anniversary, one of the two schools in Sofia where Italian language is taught and where debates and screenings have taken place about Italian Regions of Special Statute, within Italian Language Week , which hosted the screenings of the film “Sea” by Sardinian director Salvatore Mereu and the documentary produced by Sardinia region on cd titled “The Island That Dance“.

Summer Training Courses for Job Security and Health in Sofia

“GREEN DAYS” FESTIVAL IN SOFIA
Green Days Festival took place from 21st to 24th May in Sofia, for promoting ecology, organic food and sustainable tourism. Various stalls selling organic local produce as well as promoting village tourism around the Country, as well as demonstrations of folk dancing and more.
Within this framework and as partner, Grand Hotel Sofia, together with Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism and Slowfood, organized a degustation dinner with certified Bulgarian organic products at the Shades of Red restaurant, on 22th of May, 7pm.
CONFERENCE “EDUCATION AND BUSINESS – FINANCIAL EDUCATION FOR A SUSTINABLE ECONOMY”
For the second consecutive year, Bulgaria On Air, Bloomberg TV and Investor Bg organize the event “Education and business – financial education for a sustainable economy“, under the patronage of the University of Economics in Varna and Provident Bulgaria, next Monday 11 May at the Hotel Balkan in Sofia.
Representatives of the State institutions, non-governmental organizations, business, teachers of high schools and Universities, will discuss the need for financial education and the right direction for a sustainable economy.
Among the speakers there will be Steve Hanke, professor of Applied Economics and Director of the Institute for Applied Economics, global health and market research John Hopkins University in Baltimore. Expert and director of the project “Currencies problems” in the Cato Institute in Washington; Adviser of the International Monetary Research at Renmin University in Beijing; Councillor extraordinary financial stability of the Centre in New York; editor of Globe Asia Magazine. The discussions will be conducted by Nejra Cehic, journalist in the study of Bloomberg TV in London.
