On November 26th, the seminar “Global Trends & Their Impact on Europe and Bulgaria” took place, organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria in collaboration with Confindustria Bulgaria, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (CanCham), and the British Bulgarian Business Association (BBBA).
The event was welcomed by Maya Alexova, Director of the International Center at UniCredit Bulbank, followed by speeches from: Alex Nestor, President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, Alessandro Geretto, President of Camera di Commercio Italiana in Bulgaria; Roberto Santorelli, President of Confindustria Bulgaria; and Miroslava Kostadinova, Chair of British Bulgarian Business Association (BBBA).
The seminar was divided into two parts. It began with a presentation by renowned economist Evgeni Kanev, who shared his reflections on current global trends and their implications for Europe and Bulgaria. This was followed by a roundtable discussion featuring representatives from various economic sectors, including Georgi Bebechev, Board Member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, rapresentative of ITAL-TEX, a Chamber member that has been a key player in the Bulgarian retail market for over 30 years. The discussion focused on the challenges and opportunities of doing business in the context of evolving global dynamics.
